About the trainer
Sandy Thompson is a trusted facilitator, trainer and coach, with the Centre for Not-for-Profit Governance and Leadership (LEAD). With 30+ years alongside Aotearoa community and social-service organisations, she’s known for a calm, neutral style; inclusive practice; and plain-English guidance that turns discussion into clear decisions and next steps.
Sandy has designed and led hundreds of governance and leadership sessions, supporting boards, managers, volunteers, and new chairs to navigate complexity, balance voices, and agree fair, workable actions. She brings evidence-based methods and practical tools tailored to real NZ not-for-profit settings.
