Training that makes a difference

LEAD training workshops are filled with tools, tips, approaches and frameworks to make you and your organisation more effective.  But they're not simplistic.

Training content is informed by research and evaluation, and underpinned by principles of community-led development.  We take the best of what’s happening in the global, Pacific and New Zealand third sectors, and distil it for your benefit. We also draw on our extensive experience of working and leading in not for profit organisations, as well as learning from our own development as The LEAD Centre.

Participating in a workshop gives you the opportunity to join a learning community of not for profit organisation leaders and managers like yourself.  More importantly, it'll be transformative - giving you the ongoing  skills, knowledge and confidence to lead and create change.

Our public training workshops are run in cities around the country

Hilary left such a positive mark on us all... and there was not one person who felt threatened, chastised or inadequate (which can so easily happen with such a topic) following her workshop - that counts for a lot!
— School Principal and "Te Tiriti - Partnering with Maori" workshop participant

We also deliver bespoke training to your organisation -
drawing in the values, culture and complexities that are unique to you, your team and your community.

Contact Aly McNicol to discuss your organisation's training needs.

An immediate outcome for me has been that my interaction with staff is more purposeful and focused on them and their needs...making more of an effort to understand where they are coming from, which has produced positive results. I am more conscious of the need to prioritise my work
to ensure I have more time to support and develop our team members...which is quite a challenge but necessary to be an effective leader. I would love my work hours to be totally dedicated to staff support and development.
— Participant at Wellington Training on "Managing & Leading Community Organisations"
The marketing seminar gave me a great framework to be able to go away and implement my ideas.
— Participant at Auckland Seminar "Kickstart your Marketing"
Sandy was an engaging presenter; she had a down to earth manner yet spoke with authority.
